Biography
I provide individual psychotherapy to older adolescents (ages 16+) and adults using primarily cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, and humanistic strategies in person and via telehealth. I specialize in working with individuals who experience anxiety, self-judgment, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other obstacles that may keep them from experiencing greater ease, joy, and alignment in their lives.
I also provide psychological and psychoeducational assessments to children and adults to better understand their learning or psychological profile and to receive services that will help them reach their full potential. I have a background in high school special education departments and tutoring centers, and learning dyslexia methodologies and testing for children and adults with processing challenges, which are often subtle and may be easily mistaken or missed.
My interest in becoming a psychologist stemmed from a deep interest in understanding myself and others; how we form our identity and values, and how those perspectives influence our actions and decisions. One of my greatest joys as a psychologist has been in facilitating others’ insights into themselves as a means of changing negative behavioral or thought patterns, as well as a means of greater fulfillment of one’s strengths and gifts.
