Biography
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified addiction specialist serving adolescents, adults and families within the San Francisco Bay area and more specifically Marin County and San Francisco. I have developed and implemented programs to address substance abuse for adolescents and their families. I have 15 years of experience combined working as a psychologist and conducting social work within the child welfare field. I have expertise working within the juvenile justice, family and mental health court systems. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University and completed my internship and residency at Marin County Health and Human Services and Kaiser Permanente. I received my certification as an addiction specialist from the American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders. I have also served as a supervisor to postdoctoral level fellows in addition to master's level interns.
I am passionate and committed to working with individuals to support them in deepening their insight and awareness and then find ways to make the changes in their lives that is in alignment with their values. As a therapist, I empower my clients to open up to the wisdom within themselves, identify their goals and discover the path that is right for them to achieving those goals.
I utilize a treatment approach that is warm, collaborative, accepting and authentic. I am action-oriented and solution-focused and utilize evidence based interventions to assist individuals in creating the changes they desire in their lives with real results.
